BATTLE OF BUNBURY!
The Roadline Civil Contractors West Coast Series gets back underway at the Bunbury Speedway this weekend and it is sure to be an interesting one!
Bunbury will host the fourth round of the series on Saturday, proudly presented by Xtreme Bounce Party Hire, with plenty on the line.
Having played his Ace Card at Esperance, and courtesy of winning every West Coast Series feature so far this season, Cody Turacchio (Cody Turacchio Motorsports) now holds the series lead. This weekend driving the Broadwood Family Racing #17 machine as his own #5 makes its way east, Turacchio shouldn’t take long to readjust and see if he can continue his solid run.
Just twenty four points further back in second place is Brendon Marshman (Opal Finance F500 Racing), who has had a bit of an up and down season so far. With a number of podiums to his name and having also played his Ace Card at Esperance, Marshman too is ready for a strong result.
Third placed David Sinagra isn’t nominated for this weekends show, which puts current fourth placed man Logan Harris (LSJ Motorsports) in the box seat to move back into a podium position. The early season points leader was on the podium at the Esperance show and would love to repeat or improve on that effort.
Rod Jamieson (Rod Jamieson Motorsport ) sits fifth overall and will be looking for another solid result while others in the top ten including Todd Pages, Troy Samwell, Debbie Garland and Scotty Dewers will also be looking to make their presence felt.
Another exciting addition this weekend is that of Matt Brown (Pope Racing), who last weekend turned back the clocks and grabbed a feature race win. Always fast and with plenty of experience at Bunbury, Brown certainly cannot be discounted!
Also worth a mention is Isaac Arnold (Cornerstone Racing), who last weekend stepped it up a notch and grabbed two fine podium positions in two features in a row. A solid effort for the youngster and something he will hope to repeat as he takes on all the stars and their cars this weekend.
Racing begins from 5.30pm.
